Oh hey, friends, we are so excited to bring the Acacia Reservation wedding that started our 2019 Season. It is hard to believe we are into May already of this 2019 year. It feels as if time is just into warp speed since last wedding season. Especially with all the excitement we have buzzing around the office. We have the launch of our videography team, Ben is expecting a little girl (Say what!!!) and our wedding photography team expanding with the addition of Erika Kotar.
Getting back to the wedding lol, we could not have asked for a more perfect day of April in Cleveland, Ohio and we finally had the opportunity to photograph at Acacia Reservation. Our first stop of the day was at the bride’s mother’s house. Immediately upon walking in Peggy greeted us with a giant smile and a warm hug. We immediately jumped into getting detail shots of the dress (OMG it’s amazing). While we were grabbing some moments of Kati’s sister Maddie and Peggy helping her into the dress there is this beautiful moment where all three of them are in the mirror. Ironically enough this was the same mirror that Peggy had her wedding day photograph taking in with her mom. Kati & Joe were Married at St. Raphael’s Church. As guests entered the church they were greeted by this beautifully crafted space. High peak ceilings with amazing window light. Guests were treated with a String Quartet from the Cleveland Institute of Music. While guests filtered into the church Kati shared a private first look with her father in the grotto. This wonderful moment between father and daughter brought every to tears.
Kati looked absolutely stunning in her dress and had this genuine and contagious smile all day long. You could see the absolute joy and elation from Kati as she said yes to her best friend Joe. Immediately following the wedding ceremony we knocked out the traditional family photos and then hopped onto the limo bus from A-1 Limo. Our first stop was The Cleveland Public Library; Kati is a librarian so stopping here was a must for her. We had a great first stop and there was this little private moment that Kati and Joe hide behind a catalog desk. It was kinda like they were hiding from the librarian; so adorable. From there we hopped over to The Cleveland Botanical Gardens –which is so magical by the way, and Wade Oval. Although the weather was a bit chilly, the sun still kept peeking in and out to make for some lovely and dreamy photos of their big day.
